Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A query entered into a sponsored search box is sent to the provider that operates that tool. We do not maintain a court-docket database or create a profile from the name or case number entered there.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you send a message, we retain the information in it to respond or manage the communication. We do not disclose it outside our organization unless law requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our hosting and analytics services may receive ordinary technical visit information.
- IP address and browser information
- Device and operating-system details
- Pages viewed and approximate visit duration
- Referring site information when available
- Visit timestamps
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies and analytics tools help operate and measure this resource. Browser controls can limit cookies, although some functions may change when they are blocked.
What We Do With This Data
Technical and contact information may be used to maintain the service, respond to a message, diagnose performance problems, measure aggregate use, and send a search request to the selected provider. We do not sell personal data.
No Court-Record Data on File
We do not host, compile, or sell Oscoda County case files or personal court-record databases. Michigan court-file access is governed chiefly by MCR 8.119, with protected personal identifying information addressed by MCR 1.109. Official court access remains with the court of record.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside providers operate sponsored search tools. Information submitted to a provider is subject to that provider's policy and practices. Review those terms before submitting a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links to MiCOURT, Oscoda County offices, Michigan courts, and other external services leave this resource. The external site's own privacy policy applies after the link is opened. Advertising partners may also use their own technology under their policies.
Who Might See Your Data
We may use hosting, analytics, search-provider, and advertising services to operate the resource. Those services may process technical or query data as their own policies allow. A valid legal demand may also require disclosure.
How We Protect Your Data
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards for the information we handle. Internet transmission and storage cannot be guaranteed completely secure, so no security outcome is promised.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may ask us to address that submission.
Your Data Rights
You may ask about personal information you supplied directly, request correction of an apparent error, or request deletion where applicable. Michigan's court-record framework, including MCR 8.119 and MCR 1.109, separately controls public court-file inspection and redaction questions; use the court that maintains the record for those matters.
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy as operations or law change. The current version is posted here.
